Tuftec™ P2000
SBBS: Selectively hydrogenated styrenic thermoplastic elastomer
Essentials

In common with all grades in the Tuftec™ P series, Tuftec™ P2000 is a new polymer type, termed SBBS, produced by selective hydrogenation at appropriate locations on the molecular chains of styrenic thermoplastic elastomers (styrene/butadiene/styrene; SBS). As a result, it is inherently outstanding in thermal properties, and superior in processability and low-temperature properties to the structurally similar Tuftec™ H series of SEBS polymers.
Tuftec™ P2000 is high in styrene content, and particularly effective as a modifier for styrenic, polyphenylene ether (PPE), and other polymers, and as a compatibilizer for styrenic and olefinic polymers. It is supplied in pellet form.

Applications

Primarily for compatibilization between styrenic and olefinic polymers. Properties highly advantageous for food container applications.
Microwave foodtrays, portioned food containers, lunchbox laminated films
