Super Olefinic Elastomers (S.O.E.™)
December 12, 2001
New standards of performance, based on advanced molecular structures
Initial marketing trials underway

Technical development has largely been completed
for two new thermoplastic olefinic polymers, currently referred to as S.O.E.™s.

The S.O.E.™ ethylene-butylene and ethylene-butylene-styrene polymeric structures,
and the performance characteristics provided by these structures,
are the product of advanced polymer chemistry and process technology at Asahi Kasei.

Ethylene-butylene S.O.E.™ – For advanced polypropylene products

  • Modified PP with outstanding impact properties, flexural modulus and an excellent balance between these properties.
  • Modified PP compounds characterized by flexibility; modified PP films with enhanced impact properties particularly
at low temperatures, and low-temperature heat-seal capability.
Ethylene-butylene-styrene S.O.E.™ – An advanced flexible polymer
  • A unique polymeric structure, resulting in advanced non-rigid polymer products with creep characteristics
    similar to those of PVC.

The latest information of ethylene-butylene-styrene S.O.E.™ is here.
