Trial grade JT90 is a new addition
to the Tuftec P Series,
developed by Asahi Kasei specifically for superior
processability and low-temperature characteristics
as the base polymer for elastomeric compounds.
The Tuftec P Series comprises
the world's first SBBS1 elastomers,
formed by selective hydrogenation of the SBS2
molecular chain at appropriate positions, with
inherently high thermal resistance. Although SBBS
elastomers are similar in basic molecular structure
to hydrogenated thermoplastic elastomers (SEBS3),
the SBBS elastomers are superior in both processablility
and low-temperature characteristics.
